Multiple juveniles charged with vandalizing a home in Wabash County
WABASH CO., Ill. (WFIE) - Three juveniles have been charged with trashing and burglarizing a house from late March.
Officials with the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office say a resident came home on March 23 to find their house in Allendale covered in garbage and items within and outside the home broken or stolen.
They say the resident had been gone for a few days while in the process of moving out, so the home had significant damage due to the trash covering the home and sitting inside for a period of time.
Deputies were able to identify multiple suspects through interviews.
The Wabash County State’s Attorney Kelli Storckman filed charges yesterday of theft over $500 and 2 counts of criminal damage to a property in excess of $10,000 against three juveniles.
Authorities say the juveniles have been summoned to court and notified.
They say the investigation is still ongoing with the possibility of addition suspects being charged.
