EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Evansville parks board held a meeting today about some of the new developments in the works at city parks.

Members talked about the new splash pad at Tepe park and resurfacing the parking lots at the parks.

Parks and Recreation Director Danielle Crook tells us feedback from community members really helps with these projects.

“I think being able to see improvements coming to fruition allows residents develop a trust with us that we hear them, we’re listening, and we wanna see their vision come to life,” Crook says.

They are also working on a big improvement project at Garvin Park, which includes basketball courts, restrooms and a new shelter.
