Change of venue denied for man accused of shooting Evansville firefighter

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Larry Richmond Sr.’s request for his trial to not be in Evansville has been denied.
Court records show his “change of venue” request that was made last fall was denied Wednesday.
Richmond is charged with the murder of Evansville Firefighter Robert Doerr.
Elizabeth Fox-Doerr, Robert’s widow, was sentenced to 90 years in the case.
As we reported, Richmond’s trial was last set to start next week.
That date has been canceled again.
According to online court records, another trial date has not yet been set.
