Victim in Saturday shooting not expected to recover
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A victim injured in a Saturday night shooting is not expected to survive.
That comes as we we now know the name of one of the people arrested.
Right now, police say 16-year-old Isam Clark’s is charged with robbery and attempted murder.
Police say one of the victims is being kept alive to facilitate organ donation.
Once he dies, police say Clark’s charge will be changed to murder.
This all happened Saturday night at the Parkview Housing Project.
Police say a drug deal went bad, and Clark and another person tried to rob two victims.
One victim called 911, saying he and another person had been shot and were driving to the hospital.
Police say one of the victims returned fire.
The victim with less severe injuries and one suspect remain in the hospital, Clark, the other suspect, was taken to jail.
A court hearing was held Monday afternoon, where bond was set at $1 million cash.
The court also requests that he be kept away from adult inmates at the the jail.
The next court hearing is set for Thursday afternoon.
