Former school superintendent pleads guilty to child sexual exploitation

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The former Owensboro Public Schools Superintendent accused of sexually exploiting children has changed his plea to guilty.
53-year old Matthew Constant was indicted by a federal grand jury in August on charges of online enticement of a minor, receipt of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a minor and transferring obscene material to a minor.
He was arrested in July of 2023.
Constant is scheduled to be sentenced in May and will stay in custody until then.
According to court records, the guilty plea was not part of a plea deal.
