Former OPS Superintendent federally indicted for sexually exploiting children

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The former Owensboro Public Schools Superintendent has been charged with numerous offenses related to sexually exploiting children.

Officials say on August 14, a grand jury returned an indictment charging 52-year-old Matthew Constant with the following:

  • Two counts of online enticement of a minor
  • Three counts of receipt of child pornography
  • Two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor
  • Two counts of transferring obscene material to a minor.

Constant was arrested in July of 2023 in the investigation.

According to court documents, Constant faces a minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
