Hopkins County Schools names new superintendent
HOPKINS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - The Hopkins County Board of Education has announced who will be taking over the school district as superintendent.
Officials say Dr. Damon Fleming will become superintendent of Hopkins County Schools, effective July 1.
School officials tell us Dr. Fleming has served as HCS assistant superintendent since 2021 and has played a key role in district operations and student support.
“I’m honored to serve as the next superintendent of Hopkins County Schools,” he said. “This community values its schools, and I’m proud to work with educators and families who are dedicated to doing what’s best for students. Together, we will continue building a safe, supportive, and academically strong district.”
The Hopkins County Board of Education says they are looking forward to the district’s continued success under his direction.
