HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - More traffic changes ahead as part of the Ohio River Crossing construction work.

Officials say a long-term lane restriction will start later this week on Highway 60 in Henderson.

That’s where work is happening on a new interchange with Tillman Bethel Road.

Traffic will be down to one lane starting on Saturday.

We’re told there will be temporary stop lights between Tillman Bethel Road and Morris Drive.

I-69 Ohio River Crossing Spokesperson Mindy Peterson says, “During the closure we’re gonna do a lot of work that includes a major rehabilitation work on the bridge over the CSX railroad track. These are activities that we just don’t have enough room to do when we have two lanes of traffic moving so we’ll take advantage of that time, knock out those activities while we have this closure in place.”

Officials say those needing to get into the Hillcrest neighborhood will have to use the eastern entrance.

This will be in place through June.
