Deputies arrest man who allegedly shot into home with people inside

THURSTON, Ky. (WFIE) - A Thruston man is facing multiple charges after Daviess County Deputies say he shot into a home with people inside.

According to authorities, 61-year-old Christopher Claypool got into an argument with a person in the 5500 block of Kentucky 144 around 9:45 p.m. on May 1.

After being told to leave, deputies say Claypool came back a few minutes later and shot several bullets through the wall of the home.

Deputies say Claypool then left the scene.

After executing search warrants at Claypool’s home, officials say they found several drugs and drug-related items.

Claypool was located May 2, and arrested.

He is currently in the Daviess County Jail, charged with:

  • Wanton Endangerment – 1st Degree (Firearm)
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Criminal Mischief – 2nd Degree
  • Violation of a KY EPO/DVO
  • Prescription Controlled not in Proper Container
  • Poss. Controlled Substance 1st Deg. 1st Off. (Meth)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
  • Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug (2 Counts)
