EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The EPD officer charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon faced a judge for the first time on Monday.

Court records show Officer Anthony Stephenson entered a plea of not guilty.

This comes after an incident last weekend at an event held at the Fraternal Order of Police.

Officials say Stephenson was “highly intoxicated” and pointed his personal gun at another police officer.

We’re told Stephenson is currently on unpaid administrative leave.

Online court records show Stephenson is not allowed to have any contact with the victim.

He’ll be back in front of a judge again next month.
