HENDERSON, Ken. (WFIE) - Henderson police and the group 911 Gives Hope are collecting supplies for people who were affected by the floods.
They have bins set up at Walmart for goods like toilet paper, gloves and many other useful goods.
Officer Jason Cullum says it’s important to support the people in need.
“Sometimes you can feel like the world has forgotten you and left you behind, and what this does is reassure our residence that were impacted, but they’re not alone that we have not forgotten and that we’re gonna be with him every step of the way during the recovery,” Officer Cullum says.
Officials say they will be out at Walmart again tomorrow from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. if you want to donate items.
