Students pick up trash to earn money for new playground equipment

DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - A few county roads in the Tri-State are a little bit cleaner thanks to elementary school students in Daviess County.
Over the weekend, children and their families threw on safety vests and got to work collecting litter on the side of road.
Staff at Meadow Lands Elementary School say the students participated in “Cash for Trash” to help earn money for new playground equipment.
“Cash for Trash was a HUGE success!” said school leaders on social media. “Way to let your leadership shine!”
