HFD conducting 24-hour training day for new recruits

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Henderson Fire Department officials kicked off their first Furnace of 2025.
According to a press release, the Furnace is a 24-hour training day for recruits and probationary firefighters during which they world alongside HFD crews to mitigate a variety of mock emergencies.
They say it is going to be a busy day, but will do their best to continue to give updates throughout the day.
