ISP use helicopter to help Evansville Police with traffic enforcement

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Evansville Police handed out over 40 traffic ticket and made at least 6 arrests with help with a helicopter from the Indiana State Police.
ISP Sergeant Todd Ringle says between 8 p.m. and midnight on Friday, the two law enforcement organizations coordinated the detail together.
Ringle says the effort resulted in
- 42 Traffic Tickets
- 68 Warnings
- 1 Child Restraint Ticket
- 2 Drug Arrests
- 6 Criminal Defendants for Warrant Service, Suspended License,2 for Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, and 2 for Operator Never Licensed
ISP says drivers should expect to see additional traffic enforcement details throughout the summer.
