EDWARDS CO., Ill. (WFIE) - In Edwards County, there is a new emergency tool.
Authorities say Text to 911 is now available.
Officials with Edwards County 911 still ask you to call if you have an emergency.
However, if you are in a situation where you can’t call, texting is now optional.
