Wabash Co. Sheriff’s Office first K9 passes away

MT. CARMEL, Ill. (WFIE) - Wabash County Sheriff’s Office officials were sad to report that their first K9 passed away Thursday evening at his home.
Officials say K9 Roy was 12 years old.
He was an experienced crime fighter seizing over 90 grams of methamphetamine in a single traffic stop.
Sheriff’s Office officials say he could find drugs, guns or even another Deputy’s sunglasses when lost.
Roy went to St. Louis and showcased his talents amongst the bigger dogs.
Since his retirement, Roy had lived in Tennessee & Lawrence County.
