Police searching for armed robber they say injured two convenience store employees

MT. CARMEL, Ill. (WFIE) - Police in Mt. Carmel are asking for the public’s help to help find a suspected robber.
Officers say around midnight on Monday, an unknown suspect went into the Mt. Carmel Express Mart on North Walnut Street.
Mt. Carmel police say he was dressed completely in black and wearing a mask.
That’s when police say he held the two workers at gunpoint, before hitting both of them with the butt of the handgun.
Both employees were taken to the hospital for their injuries
If you have any information, you’re asked to contact Crimestoppers, which is offering a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
