EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - There’s a new partnership between RiverValley Behavioral Health and McLean County High School.
Officials say it’ll be the first school in the state of Kentucky to train an entire student body as Teen Mental Health First Aiders.
School officials tell us the program is designed to teach young people how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis among their peers.
It will also help connect them with appropriate support.
Student training will take place throughout January and February.
There will then be a graduation celebration held for students and families.
