Police investigating ‘obscene’ mail sent to Albion residents

ALBION, Ill. (WFIE) - An investigation is underway after some residents living in Edwards County received “rude” letters in the mail.

That’s according to the Albion Police Department, who shared a statement about the incidents on social media.

Officers say they have received reports of people getting “inappropriate” and “obscene” mail.

Police did not elaborate what exactly about the mail made it obscene.

If you have received any written material, you’re asked to contact the Albion Police Department.

Officers say they are collecting evidence to prepare a case for prosecution.
