Dozens of snowmen built outside assisted living facility windows in Mt. Carmel
MT. CARMEL, Ill. (WFIE) - There’s been quite the competition over the weekend outside the assisted living facilities in Mt. Carmel.
It started as a request for community members to come build snowmen outside the residents' windows at Oakview Nursing Home.
It quickly turned into a competition with prizes at stake.
One winner chosen by Oakview residents will get a prize from the front office of the facility, and another prize was offered by Mt. Carmel’s Mayor.
Joe Judge challenged the snowmen builders to also go to Acorn Estate and the Villas of Hollybrook.
He says he’ll pick a winner for a $50 merchant gift check.
We’re told the whole community has been out building dozens of snowmen.
