Mt. Carmel appoints new SRO to oversee schools

MT. CARMEL, Ill. (WFIE) - A new school resource officer is ready to serve the students in Mt. Carmel.
Mayor Joe Judge shared a small statement about the appointment on social media Monday night.
According to Mayor Judge, Sgt. Price accepted the new role and will take over as the district’s SRO.
“We are excited that Sergeant Price has agreed to be the SRO,” said Judge on Facebook. “He will do a fantastic job.”
Mayor Judge says this has been a joint effort between the School Board, City Council and several others.
