WATCH: Francisco Town Marshal nabs naughty elf, brings him home
FRANCISCO, Ind. (WFIE) - A naughty elf was reportedly caught stealing candy canes in Gibson County.
Francisco Town Marshal Bryan Archibald was able to take the suspect into custody.
That’s according to Manessa Miller, who says the “Elf on a Shelf” belongs to her eight-year-old daughter, Hadlee French.
Hadlee’s elf was nowhere to be found when she woke up over the weekend.
That’s until Marshal Archibald brought him home and explained how he was up to no good.
Miller says Hadlee was very excited to see the elf again. She also says Marshal Archibald is always doing things like this in the community.
“He goes above and beyond to make a positive influence in our kids' lives, and I feel his kindness should be recognized,” said Miller.
There’s no word on when the elf is due in court.
