Update: Ascension St. Vincent aiming to have all patients’ records restored by next week
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Ascension St. Vincent has announced an update following a cyberattack that hit their computer systems last month.
Hospital leaders say they hope to have all patients’ electronic health records restored by late next week.
A release shows Ascension retail pharmacies have also resumed normal operations, including specialty pharmacies and home delivery.
Leaders say while these are promising developments in their recovery efforts, the investigation into the cyberattack remains ongoing.
As we reported last month, hackers disabled all Ascension systems impacting around 140 hospital across the country.
All Ascension St. Vincent hospitals, physician offices and care sites across Indiana remain open and operational.
