Here’s how to get free solar eclipse glasses from the EVPL
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Mark your calendars because we are only weeks away from the total solar eclipse in the Tri-State area!
Starting Thursday, the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library will be handing out free eclipse viewing glasses in anticipation of the April 8 solar eclipse.
Officials say the free glasses are only available for library cardholders that have a good-standing account.
We’re told cardholders will be limited to one pair of glasses and must be in-person to receive their glasses.
According to a press release, those attending EVPL eclipse programs and outreach events will also be eligible to receive a free pair of glasses, and a library card is not required to participate in any of these activities.
The EVPL says they have also planned more than 20 eclipse-related programs and outreach activities with more to be added in the coming weeks. For more information, click here.
