Christmas parade held Sunday afternoon in Boonville
BOONVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A busy weekend of Christmas events included the 77th Boonville Christmas Parade this afternoon.
Officials say it’s Indiana’s longest continuous Christmas Parade.
There was also a Breakfast with Santa at the Boonville Elks Lodge.
The first 100 kids got a free stocking filled with goodies. and then of course the big event, the parade.
The parade lasted for almost two hours, with dozens of local businesses and organizations represented.
Some people our crews talked to say they’re proud to be a part of such a long standing tradition every year.
”I think that’s actually really amazing, and I just moved here a couple years ago and it’s really amazing with the longest parade,” said Fought.
The parade also featured several Christmas characters, the Hadi Shriner’s collection of clown cars and a giant snowman made of balloons.
