$7M in renovations approved for Reitz Bowl

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Reitz Bowl is a staple in the world of Evansville sports, and coming soon, it’s going to receive some renovations.
Last night, the EVSC school board approved a $7.265 million dollar project to renovate the Reitz Bowl.
The primary objective of this project will be to install new bleachers around the home side of the bowl.
Of key importance here, they will also be covering up the previous ‘coating’ that was installed in the renovations in 2020.
According to spokesperson Jason Woebkenberg, a material used in that preview project has failed, and needed attention.
This project will address that issue directly.
