Heritage Hills Quarterback Club celebrates state championship win
LINCOLN CITY, Ind. (WFIE) - The Heritage Hills Quarterback Club met to review their State Championship game.
The Patriots’ Club meets every Wednesday to go over every play of their previous football games.
The goal is to help parents of the players and interested community members to get an inside look at why certain plays were called, why their child may have played or not, or maybe just learn the game of football.
There wasn’t much criticism this week, though, since the Pats won the Class 3A State title, over Fort Wayne Luers.
“It’s unreal,” said Jett Goldsberry’s father, Jon Goldsberry. “Been around the program and the kids for a long time and I’m super proud of them. It’s pretty awesome. I don’t think there is going to be too much bad tonight. There’s a lot of good things that have happened and obviously the outcome can’t be any better for the team so it’s going to be a really good session.”
Heritage Hills head Coach Todd Wilkerson broke down the Patriots’ victory, remarking on their defense, offensive line and run game as just a few of their keys to victory.
