GoFundMe turns 15 years old with $40 billion raised for causes

(CNN) – GoFundMe is turning 15 years old.
The fundraising platform announced that over the course of that time, it has helped individuals and groups raise $40 billion worldwide for various causes.
As part of GoFundMe’s anniversary, the company is unveiling GoFundMe Pro.
The new platform is aimed at helping nonprofit groups fundraise.
The company said GoFundMe Pro would offer AI innovation and software tools to make it easier for individuals and nonprofits to ask for donations.
