Hear from Branson Combs after he signs with Jacksonville Jaguars

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Branson Combs had quite the weekend as he realized a dream, he signed with an NFL team.

After spending his college football career with Southern Illinois, then this most recent season at Wake Forest, Combs was signed as an Undrafted Free Agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Combs was able to celebrate the momentous occasion in town at Casey’s dugout surrounded by family and friends. While it was a hectic rush fielding the calls, he likes where he has ended up.

“The Jags just seemed to be the best spot, as far as their plan, their vision for me and how I was going to develop as a player. At the end of the day, once you get here, you get your opportunity and you take advantage of it. I’ve got to come in and take a spot, really is what it comes down to. A lot of it is special teams, if I can come in their and be a playmaker on special teams,” said Jaguars signee Branson Combs.
