USI softball clinches spot in OVC tournament

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - USI softball had a big weekend, not necessarily in the games the played, but in the grand scheme of the season.
After falling to SEMO on Saturday, the Screaming Eagles rallied to take the second game on Sunday.
That win clinched a berth to the Ohio Valley Conference softball tournament.
Seeding is still up in the air, but the Screaming Eagles could still obtain the 4 seed, avoiding the single elimination round of the tournament.
They would need to sweep Lindenwood this weekend to make it happen.
