Scattered showers and storms
Gusty winds, small hail possible in stronger storms Friday afternoon
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Clouds will stream into the Tri-State through Thursday evening. A few scattered showers and storms are possible, but these should wind down after dark. A cold front will swing into the Tri-State on Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely through the day and evening. While no widespread severe weather is expected, some of the thunderstorms may be strong enough to produce small hail, gust winds and locally heavy rainfall. Highs on Friday will max out in the upper 70s. Partly sunny, dry and cooler over the weekend with highs in the lower 70s Saturday and Sunday. Much warmer air returns next week as highs push into the lower 80s on Monday. A stronger cold front may trigger thunderstorms late Tuesday into Wednesday, and severe weather can’t be ruled out at this point. Highs will hit the mid 80s on Tuesday, then pull back into the mid 70s on Wednesday as rain chances linger through the day.
