EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Showers and storms will slide in from the west this morning. A few storms may be strong to severe. The SPC has a level 1 (marginal) risk for a few severe storms with damaging winds and hail. Heavy rainfall has trended farther north, but the Tri-State may pick up another half-inch to inch of rainfall over the weekend. We will likely see a lull in the action later today with a few storms firing in the afternoon and evening. Easter Sunday will start out breezy and warm with temps pushing toward 80 by afternoon. A second storm system will move in late Sunday into early Monday morning. If everything comes together, we could see more widespread severe storms and a tornado risk in the overnight hours from midnight Sunday to Monday morning. Dry and mild for the first half of next week with highs in the mid 70s. More rain likely by Thursday and Friday.
