EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A cold front will slide through on Monday and bring us our next chance for some isolated showers. Better chances for showers and storms will arrive by the end of the work week and into next weekend.

For the rest of our Sunday anticipate mostly sunny skies with temperatures ranging in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Winds will be gusting up to 30 mph through the afternoon and evening. For tonight, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will drop down into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Winds will still be gusting out of the south between 25-30 mph overnight.

The start of the work week won’t be as nice as the weekend. Another cold front will swing through during the late morning/afternoon and conjure up some isolated showers. We can’t completely rule out a thunderstorm but the good news is it looks like the better chances for storms and severe weather will be off to our east. Temperatures will warm up to the lower 70s before the front passes overhead. Temperatures will cool back down into the 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. The weather pattern will become more unsettled towards the end of the work week with multiple chances for showers and storms from Thursday through next weekend.
