Warming up Sunday, isolated showers/storms possible Monday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - High pressure will build in through the weekend providing us with plentiful sunshine and warmer temperatures. Another cold front will slide through on Monday and bring us our next chance for some showers and a few storms.
The weekend is looking beautiful weather-wise! Expect sunny skies for the rest of our afternoon. It feels fantastic out there with temperatures ranging in the upper 50s to around 60. Some cloud cover will stream in tonight, and while we will remain mostly dry, I can’t completely rule out a sprinkle in some locations. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 40s. Sunday will feature a few more clouds compared to Saturday but overall we will see mostly sunny skies. The biggest difference will be in our temperatures. Southerly winds will advect warm air into the region for Sunday; gusts up to 30 mph will be possible. Highs will top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Expect partly cloudy skies Sunday night with lows dropping into the upper 50s.
The start of the work week won’t be as nice as the weekend. Another cold front will swing through during the afternoon and conjure up some isolated showers and storms. Temperatures will warm up to the lower 70s before the front passes overhead. Temperatures will cool back down into the 60s through the middle of the work week. Some more shower/storm chances return by Thursday and Friday.
