Some clouds and showers may linger into Sunday morning before a cold front swings in from the northwest to southeast Sunday afternoon and into Sunday night. This is where severe thunderstorms will be possible. The main line of storms looks to begin to impact the Tri-State between 4 pm - 1 am. However, there is the chance some storms develop out ahead of this main line earlier in the afternoon between 12 pm - 4 pm.

All severe weather hazards will be possible.

All severe weather hazards will be possible. Damaging wind gusts ( 75 mph+) will be possible, large hail (2″+ in diameter), and strong tornadoes (potentially EF2 or greater). All storm activity should come to an end by around midnight with some lingering showers possible into very early Monday morning.

The rest of the day Monday will feature clouds and cooler temperatures. Highs will top out in the lower 50s. Tuesday will remain quiet before our next round of potentially widespread severe weather moves in on Wednesday. Similar to Sunday all severe weather hazards will be possible including damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes. Flooding will also be more of a concern not only for Wednesday but through the end of the work week as it looks like multiple waves of low pressure will lift through the area keeping shower chances in the forecast through next weekend! We will have more details on Wednesday’s First Alert and the flooding potential once we get through Sunday. Continue to check back for updates.
