EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Temperatures perked up into the lower 60s on Tuesday with partly sunny skies. A few stray showers may breeze through the region overnight as lows fall into the upper 30s on Wednesday morning. Mostly sunny on Wednesday, but a few isolated to scattered showers will be possible by the afternoon and evening. Highs on Wednesday should climb into the lower 60s. Thursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with scattered showers possible and a high of 67. Friday will be the nicest day of the week with sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s. The weather will become unsettled over the weekend. Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder possible on Saturday with highs in the lower 70s. Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day. Large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes and heavy rainfall all possible. The timing is still coming into focus, but it looks like some early storms and then an afternoon/evening round will be possible as the cold front pushes through. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area outlooked for a level 2 of 5 risk for severe weather on Sunday. You should stay alert and follow the forecasts as more details emerge.
