EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny and pleasant on Monday with near-normal highs around 60. A few scattered showers return Monday night and again on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Lows will drop into the middle 40s on Tuesday with highs in the mid 60s. Wednesday looks mainly sunny with a high of 60. More scattered showers return on Thursday as highs rise into the middle 60s. Friday will be the warmest day of the week with partly sunny skies and highs around 75. A potent storm system will move out of the plains over the weekend. Scattered showers and storms will be possible on Saturday, and severe weather is possible on Sunday. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted much of the Ohio Valley for potential severe storms on Sunday with all hazards (wind, hail, tornado) possible. The risk zone is very large, as there is uncertainty this far out. We are adding a First Alert Weather Day for Sunday, and will have to see how the threat eventually plays out.
