Sunny and dry Saturday, rain and storms for Sunday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A dry cold front will swing through the Tri-State tonight conjuring up clouds and a slight chance for a shower. We’ll remain dry and sunny through Saturday but clouds and rain work their way back into the forecast for Sunday with the chance for a few thunderstorms. The severe weather risk is low at this time.
A cold front will swing through this evening, keeping clouds in the sky through the first part of the night with a slight chance of a shower. Clouds will then gradually clear overnight into early Saturday morning. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 40s
The pick of the weekend will be Saturday! Expect sunny skies with highs topping out in the upper 50s to around 60, which is typical for this time of year. Winds will be out of the northwest between 8-10 mph. Clouds will increase Saturday night with lows dropping into the lower 40s. Rain will begin to fill in from west to east during the pre-dawn hours of Sunday. Rain will persist through the morning before becoming more scattered into the afternoon with the chance for some thunderstorms into the early evening hours. The severe weather risk is low at this time. Rain will clear out of the Tri-State by around 8-9 pm Sunday night. Rainfall totals will range around .5″-1″. Clouds will then gradually clear overnight with lows dropping into the lower 40s.
Monday will feature mostly sunny skies with highs topping out in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Some showers will be possible on Tuesday with highs topping out in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Temperatures will remain in the upper 50s to around 60 through the middle of next week before warming all the way up into the lower 70s by Friday. Slight chances for showers will round off the work week through Thursday and Friday.
