EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Windy and mild through Wednesday afternoon with temps in the upper 60s. The Storm Prediction Center upgraded the risk for severe storms to a level 2 of 5 for Southern Indiana and Illinois. A level 1 (marginal) risk continues for Western Kentucky. We can expect a few thunderstorms, some severe with damaging winds, between 4pm and 7pm across the Tri-State. There is a limited risk for a couple of isolated tornadoes. All storms will be east of the Tri-State by 9pm. Much colder air will sweep in Wednesday night, and lows will drop into the upper 30s for Thursday morning as Spring begins at 4:01 a.m. With the Vernal Equinox. Partly cloudy, breezy and cool with occasional showers on Thursday and a high near 50. Friday will be partly sunny with highs near 60. More showers likely over the weekend, with best chances on Sunday and Monday. Highs will stay in the upper 50s and lows will dip into the low 40s, so severe weather should not be a concern for the weekend.
