EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Temperatures are set to vault into the 70s this week for a real taste of Spring. Highs on Sunday will rise into the mid 60s with mostly sunny skies. The work week will be much warmer than normal, with highs in the low to mid 70s each day. Normal highs are around 55 this time of the year. Mainly dry conditions through Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a large risk zone for severe storms on Friday. The Tri-State is in the risk area, so we have a First Alert Weather Day for Friday for potential severe storms. Damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes will be possible, but the exact areas and timing is still not clear. Details should come into better focus toward the middle of the week. You should monitor the weather as the forecast will likely change through the week.
