EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A brief ridge of high pressure will build through the region today. A weak low-pressure system will bring some isolated showers Friday before drying out over the weekend. Temperatures warm up significantly for the beginning of next week!

We’ll start off our day with decreasing clouds through the morning, then we’ll become mostly sunny this afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly below average but it should feel better than yesterday. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s. Winds will still be a bit breezy but nothing like what we had on Wednesday. Winds will be out of the west/northwest with gusts up to 20 mph. This evening will feature increasing clouds with temperatures dropping into the mid-30s. A weak low-pressure system will slide in from the west on Friday bringing a slight chance for an isolated shower in the morning with better chances for showers Friday night. Highs will top out in the upper 50s to around 60, before cooling into the upper 30s to around 40 overnight.

The weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice. Saturday will feature some clouds early in the morning before becoming mostly sunny for the rest of the day. Highs will top out in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Sunday will be sunny with temperatures warming into the mid-50s. The weather will stay quiet through the start of the work week as temperatures soar well above average. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s! Our next chance for rain will arrive Wednesday night.
