EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - High pressure will keep the weather quiet through the rest of the weekend. High pressure will slide off to our southeast allowing warm air to funnel in from the southwest through the weekend and into next week.

The weather will remain quiet tonight with mostly clear skies. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 20s. Winds will be out of the southwest between 2-3 mph.

Southerly winds will allow temperatures to warm up through the rest of the weekend and into next week. Highs on Sunday will top out in the low to mid-40s underneath mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 50s Monday through Wednesday, some spots may touch the low 60s! Our next best chance for rain arrives along a cold front that will make a pass over the Tri-State Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. Temperatures will cool down slightly behind this system, but nothing like what we’ve experienced this week. We’ll still round off the work week with temperatures around average or slightly above.
