Warming up through the weekend and into next week
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Arctic high pressure will continue to build in through the end of the work week and into the weekend, keeping the weather cool but quiet. Temperatures will start to warm up through the weekend and into next week.
For the rest of the afternoon anticipate temperatures in the teens with wind chill values remaining in the single digits. If you’re going outside remember to bundle up with multiple layers! The weather will remain quiet tonight with temperatures dropping into the single digits.
Friday will feature mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the upper 20s. Winds will remain calm so wind chill values shouldn’t be to much of a factor. Skies will become partly cloudy Friday night with temperatures dropping into the mid-teens.
The weekend looks pretty good weather-wise! Expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures finally breaking out above freezing; reaching the mid-30s. Winds will be out of the southwest between 2-5 mph. With winds out of the south, temperatures will continue to warm up through the rest of the weekend and into next week. High on Sunday will top out in the lower 40s with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will climb into the 50s through much of next week with our next chance at rain moving in Wednesday.
