EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The City of Evansville has announced residents will be able to ride a METS bus at no cost to the polls on Tuesday.

According to a release, those rides are being offered to any one of the 22 polling places in Evansville.

The program was created to ensure that more residents are able to vote in this year’s election, and that transportation issues do not prohibit them from doing so.

City officials say voters are not required to vote in the precinct in which they live; they may choose any polling place that is convenient for them.

For questions about the METS bus service on Election Day, you can contact METS at (812)-435-6166.
