Crowds of people flock to the Evansville riverfront for the solar eclipse

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - On the Evansville riverfront, a majority of the excitement as well as the crowds have died down.

14 News Mitch Carter spoke to one husband and wife who are actually comet chasers and came all the way from their original viewing spot in Arkansas just to get the best weather possible.

While most of our crowds have started making that trek towards home, our 14 News crew will still be out monitoring traffic and keeping an eye on things.
