EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Friday is exactly one month away from the Total Solar Eclipse.

Communities along the path of totality are busy prepping for a weekend full of eclipse themed festivities.

That includes Evansville, and many cities and towns in the Tri-State.

Here is a list of venues around the Tri-state hosting eclipse events on April 8:

Indiana

Kentucky

  • Racetrack VIP Viewing Party at Ellis Park

Illinois

Totality in Evansville will be at 2:02 p.m. central time.

There will be three minutes and two seconds of totality.

Our 14 News Sunrise team was joined by Alexis Berggren with Explore Evansville to discuss the event.

We will have live coverage throughout the day on April 8.
