GRAYVILLE, Ill. (WFIE) - Terrabis Dispensary announced on Wednesday that they are canceling their “Terrabis Eclipse Festival”.

That event was originally planned to celebrate the total solar eclipse on April 8.

The “Terrabis Eclipse Festival” was set to take place in Grayville, Illinois, on Sunday, April 7.

According to a release, the decision to cancel it comes after “careful consideration of safety concerns and the impact on traffic flow in the town and surrounding major roadways.”

Officials say although they were excited to host the festival, concerns arose regarding the attendance numbers and potential implications for public safety. The decision to cancel the festival was made in collaboration with the City of Grayville, who have been steadfast partners throughout the planning process.

“We are dedicated to the safety and well-being of our community and visitors,” said Dan Ambrosino, CEO of Terrabis. “While we are disappointed to cancel the Terrabis Eclipse Festival, we believe it is the responsible choice to ensure a positive and safe experience for all attendees.”

Terrabis thanks everyone involved in the planning process and remains committed to bringing new events to the community and supporting local vendors and establishments for collaborative business opportunities.
