New pedestrian bridge possible outside Henderson school
HENDERSON, Ken. (WFIE) - A possible new pedestrian bridge could be going up outside a school in Henderson.
Officials with Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church talked to the Henderson city commission about the project.
They say there’s a lot of heavy traffic and many on-foot trying to cross on North Adams and Second Street.
Church officials say the city commissioners approved of the concept.
They say this could be a safe and helpful addition to the area.
“The city leaders are cooperative at least in terms in the concept, we’re all living in the real world, so we don’t know if this will prove to be possible or not but we’re going to put the energy into it,” Father Richard Meredith with the Holy Name of Jesus Church. “Until we get a note, we’re going to proceed as if it’s yes.”
They say they will be finding ways to get funding for the project.
